The staff at Lone Star College-Kingwood understands that there is more to college life than simply going to class and doing homework. Choosing to receive an education involves choices that affect one’s life, inside, as well as outside the classroom. The college works to provide services that assist students with not only their academic welfare, but also with the logistics of making their educational experience work in their everyday lives.
The Learning Center on the second floor of the Student Center/Fine Arts Building (SFA) offers free tutoring, testing services, Internet access, computer-assisted instruction, free e-mail, and word processing. Onling tutoring is available for both LSC-Online and traditonal students.

Lone Star College-Kingwood is a commuter school, servicing members of the on campus college community who arrive by private transit. No public transportation is available to the Kingwood Campus.
Lone Star College-Kingwood Kid Care provides supervision for children (ages 4-12) between the hours of 5:15 and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday evenings for a fee of $25 per semester while parents attend classes. Kids can study, do homework, or participate in other structured and educational activities.
