I would like to nominate Carol Wheeler as the Catch of the Month. I am constantly amazed at the professionalism and enthusiasm she demonstrates on a daily basis.  Of course she is incredibly intelligent, fair minded and patient. But what makes Carol so admirable is that she consistently goes above and beyond when it comes to helping others.  Not only does she assist faculty, supervise staff and coordinate with the dean (NOT an easy job) – she unselfishly gives her time to anyone whether in another divisions or on another campus! I have witnessed her spending hours with DOMS in other divisions (even after work hours) and always with a smile and gentle voice. Her calm manner and sense of humor gives the impression that her job is easy, but I can ASSURE you that her job is anything but easy.  Carol has always demonstrated a team spirit and I have never heard her complain or get frustrated with her workload.   She makes every person feel valued and that their situation/task is important. On another note, Carol has a very contagious laugh – it’s impossible to feel down when you hear her laugh. She makes work fun while inspiring others and that’s what makes her very worthy of being the Catch of the Month.
