I would like to nominate the Staff of Student Services for School of the Year. This dedicated group of individuals works long hours, helps calm confused students and their often demanding parents and presents a positive first impression of Lone Star College-Kingwood. Student Services includes those who work in Admissions and Registration, Counseling and Advising, Career Services, Special Needs Counselor, Deaf Interpreters, International Advisor, Financial Aid, Student Activities and our Testing Center. There is great camaraderie among the staff and everyone is willing to help and assist each other any way possible. In addition Student Services can always be counted on to step up and volunteer when there is an activity on campus that needs extra hands. Each member serves a vital role and is greatly appreciated by their peers. And in case you didn't know...this is a pretty talented group of people too. We have singers, dancers, comedians, daredevils, beauty queens, politicians...oh I could go on and on! But...seriously, the staff of Student Services is a tremendous group of men and women who work very hard to serve all students who pass through the doors of Lone Star College-Kingwood.
