2008-2009: Steps to Financial Aid
 
When applying for financial aid, do not wait.  The entire process can take up to four weeks.  The priority deadline for receipt of all required documents to receive maximum funding is April 1.

STEP 1:

Apply for a student (and parent) Federal PIN on-line in order to sign your FAFSA electronically.

STEP 2:

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on-line.  The school code for Lone Star College - Kingwood is E00719.  You will receive an email from the Department of Education once your FAFSA has been processed.

STEP 3:

Once you have completed the FAFSA, you will need to complete the Lone Star College System Financial Aid Worksheet.

STEP 4:

If you are selected for verification, you will need to fill out the 2008-09 Verification Worksheet. Our office may also request additional documents via your Campus Cruiser email or your preferred email address.

STEP 5:

Please review Lone Star College System's Terms and Conditions Governing Student Financial Assistance.

STEP 6:

You will receive an award email via your Campus Cruiser email or preferred email address detailing your financial aid award(s).
