LSCS to Host Succession Builders Workshop

Lone Star College System will sponsor the Succession Builders Workshop for Human Resources Professionals in the Houston area Oct. 21-22.

The workshop will prepare human resource professionals to lead and facilitate the strategy and processes for talent assessment, succession planning, and talent review meetings in their own organization.

Doris Sims, Senior Professional in Human Resources, will serve as facilitator for the workshop. Sims is the author of “Building Tomorrow’s Talent” and “Creative New Employee Orientation Programs,” and has contributed to “Talent Management” magazine, “Training Magazine” and “The Learning & Development Roundtable.”  She also conducts Talent Management Online Certification programs for “Training Magazine.”

The LSCS HR Update, a bi-monthly podcast series from the LSCS human resources department, recently interviewed Sims regarding the upcoming event, http://www.lonestar.edu/142577/.
