Interior design students come to us from a variety of backgrounds. They may be young or older, new or returning, full-time or part-time students. To succeed in the program, students need good communication skills and an interest in art, as well as the ability to analyze problems, pay attention to details, and relate to all types of people. Students who attend the Lone Star College-Kingwood program are also mentored by design professionals and consequently earn an important foothold in the industry upon graduation. Our locations near a large metropolitan area provide opportunities for field trips to the finest museums, showrooms, and trade resources. Lone Star College-Kingwood has a very active student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), which works closely with professional designers in the community. The Facility
