Licensed Salespersons who apply on or after January 1, 2006 are required to have completed 270 core real estate and related classroom hours by the end of the first year of licensure (210 hours of which were already completed before application for license). Kingwood College's Real Estate courses are taught by instructors with more than 30 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate. Each course meets the Texas Real Estate Commissions (TREC) core requirements for Salesperson Licensing eligibility.

Upon completion of the TREC's core education requirements at Lone Star College-Kingwood, individuals must apply to become a licensed salesperson, and successfully complete the Salesperson Licensing Exam. For more information visit the TREC website
