Catch of the Month - July 2004

The July 2004 Fish Award Winner is Kathy Adkins.
You'll understand why after you read what her co-workers had to say...
I nominate Kathy Adkins. She has truly gone above and beyond this month. During a very emotional time in her life (her father had surgery -- he's doing fine and home now), she coordinated Lone Star College-Kingwood's participation in the Kingwood 4th of July Parade. She was making multiple trips to the medical center daily, coming in to the office; shopping for the parade; and even remembered a co-worker's birthday and brought in a cake one morning on her way to take care of the big sign for the parade trailer and then go to the hospital to see her father. It would have been easy for her to tell us "My dad's in the hospital and I can't do these other things right now;" however, that is not Kathy's way. She is a very warm and caring person and she is always considerate of other people. She goes out of her way on a regular basis to see that they are taken care of. She keeps the office upbeat with her "can do" attitude and is a true representation of the FISH philosophy.
