Lone Star College System student nurses expect to be in attendance Monday through Friday, five (5) days a week for one full year (12 consecutive months) except for college approved holidays and breaks.
Yes, students will need to allow at least 2 hours of study time each night!

Lab Experiences |
8:00 a.m. to 2:30
or 3:30 p.m. lecture. Time is usually broken up between in-class lecture,
varius fun activities, tours of related interest in Houston area, and hands
on lab practice |

6:30a.m. to 3:00
p.m. Hours in the facility depends on the hospital/clinical schedule. |
| Level
one students spend most of the time in
the classroom/lab. There is a progression of health science courses, dosage
calculations, basic patient care courses and nursing skilled lab experiences. |
Level
two has increasingly more clinical time
with a focus on medical-surgical nursing, sterile skills, and giving medications
to adults -- as well as a course in pediatric nursing. This level is fast
paced and exciting. |
Level
three puts it all together with more independence
for the SVN, management in the long term care facility and emergency nursing. |
