Applying to the Dental Hygiene Program
Program Application Deadline: JANUARY 30, 2009
The Lone Star College-Kingwood Dental Hygiene Program is a competitive acceptance program with acceptance based on multiple factors including, but, not limited to grades, course completions, previous degrees, HOBET (Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test) scores and interviews. Admission to the Lone Star College System does not guarantee admission to the dental hygiene program.

Dental hygiene applications are available beginning October 15 of each year. To apply click the following link, http://kingwood.lonestar.edu/124395.doc

  1. Apply to Lone Star College System through the college Admission Office.
  2. Meet the requirements of the Texas Success Initiative by being TSI Complete in all areas.
  3. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all college level courses.
  4. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in the dental hygiene prerequisite courses.
  5. Complete the dental hygiene program application:
  6. Request official transcripts from all colleges attended including those Lone Star College System campuses – have them sent to YOU not the college. The envelopes must be sealed with a signature across the seal. Opened transcript envelopes will not be accepted.
  7. Register online to make an appointment to take the HOBET exam.
  8. Attach your official transcripts & HOBET scores to the application and mail or hand carry to the Dental Hygiene Clinic on the Kingwood campus. The mailing address is:
