2000 Respiratory Care Week

National Respiratory Care week came early in year 2000, but the combined first and second year respiratory care students were prepared to celebrate their chosen field of study with a week of activities.
They wrote a web page that discussed the various roles played by the respiratory therapist in the health care area.

They measured pulmonary functions on fellow Lone Star College-Kingwood students in our brand new Arts and Sciences Building.
A few brave souls dressed up as cigarettes and walked about the campus, passing out anti-smoking literature from the AARC. Later they appeared in a TV spot we taped for .

That Saturday, all the students as well as all the respiratory faculty went out into the country to celebrate with an old-fashioned Texas barbecue and picnic.
