WorkSource - Training Support Center

The WorkSource - Training Support Center assists the WorkSource student referral with the overall enrollment process. WorkSource referrals are generally funded by scholarships provided through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). WIA students are often economically and educationally disadvantaged, dislocated workers, or welfare recipients, and in need of skills training or basic education and literacy instruction.  The WorkSource - Training Support Center assists with enrollment, counseling, and various other support services.  Training Support Center staff serves as the student advocate within the college and coordinates with the referring one-stop centers, known as The WorkSource, to provide all services needed for the student to complete training, be placed and retained in high-wage, high-demand occupations.

The Workforce Investment Act is designed to provide eligible students with financial aid for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other applicable expenses. To learn more about The WorkSource and WIA, visit http://www.theworksource.org.
