Facilities Management

Facilities management is a rapidly growing industry that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology. While much of the work is behind the scenes, facility managers are both team players and strong leaders involved in everything from operational details to big-picture strategic planning. Launch your career at the center of the workplace.

The Program

Facilities Management is a two-year program leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree in this highly-regarded industry. The program, while housed within Lone Star College-Kingwood's Interior Design curriculum, is made up of both design and business-related classes.

The Student

Facilities management students are from a variety of backgrounds. They may be young or older, new or returning, full-time or part-time. In addition, facility management students may enter the field with degrees in business administration, architecture, engineering, construction management, or environmental, interior or technical design. Tto be successful in the program, students need to be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, focused and organized.
